A List Apart: Articles: Building Twitter Bootstrap by Twitter’s Mark Otto:
Made by myself and Jacob Thornton, Bootstrap is an open-source front-end toolkit created to help designers and developers quickly and efficiently build awesome stuff online. Our goal is to provide a refined, well-documented, and extensive library of flexible design components built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for others to build and innovate on. Today, it has grown to include dozens of components and has become the most popular project on GitHub with more than 13,000 watchers and 2,000 forks.
Here we’ll shed some light on how and why Bootstrap was made, the processes used to create it, and how it has grown as a design system.

Prompted for the best one-liner joke by Zee, Tom Walsham responded with:
An SEO guy walks into a bar, bars, pub, public house, Irish pub, drinks, beer, wine, liquor, grey goose, cristal
Whats your favorite one-liner?
Last night (Saturday) I posted a song lyric and asked people to guess. No one guessed correctly so I’ve given the answer via Twitter and Facebook posts.
This is something I would like to do on a recurring basis. Maybe a few times a week at least. All it needs is a catchy name or hashtag. GTL (GuessThatLyric) is short and simple. I think that is what I will call it for now. But I am certainly open to suggestions. Would you share them with me?

Based on Dick Costolo being promoted to CEO of Twitter (would the NASDAQ symbol be its old domain - twtr?) Motley Fool speculates on what’s next for The Twitter

I was listening to episode 134 of This Week in Tech. Dave Winer was on and talking about his vision for what is next with RSS. The first part of it is something called FlickrFan.
FlickrFan allows you to do a few things:
So far it works rather well. A few years ago i was using Dave’s OPML Editor as a blogging and aggregating platform. I could post updates, get updates of othe OPML Editor using people and even a NewsRiver via the OPML Editor. Flickr Fan is basically the OPML Editor. I’m exploring how to make FlickrFan work to post blogs and all that to my OPML blog thingy.
But the real thing about FlickrFan that I wanted to point out is DO NOT USE THE AUTO UPLOAD FEATURE OF FLICKRFAN. Jut sayin’. I guess you could use it, but be prepared to have any photos you place in the folder to be uploaded over and over again. I placed one photo in the folder and it was uploaded to my Flickr account 14 times before I checked my Flickr profile. Not cool FlickrFan, not cool.

The gee eff (thats phonic for girlfriend also called “gal pal”) likes the Toyota FJ Cruiser. They are a decent four-wheel drive gas guzzzler. I’m not such a fan of them but i can see why people would like them (modern looking, gets three gas stations to the mile, the chance to empty your savings and checking accounts at the gas pump, etc.).
I use/participate in The Twitter and follow some people. I have previously mentioned that i enjoy Merlin Mann’s tweets. I immediately thought of my girlfriend when i read the following tweet:
The Toyota FJ Cruiser looks like a Hummer that’s very close to coming out of the closet.
I had to laugh. Sorry babe. I hope you still like me. :)

I found this site called TweetStats. It looks at your posting history (called “tweeting”) on the Twitter and generates some fancy graphs. I am all for nice graphs so of course i dig it.
But holy crap. As in holy crap. I had no idea that i tweet like crazy except for this month. Good lord. I think for February 2008 i am at a tweet a day. But look at my prior months. Now i know its nothing like what micah is capable of but for me that is a lot. Go marvel at your own TweetStats.
Once you’ve recovered from the awe (and/or shock) of your tweeting history, why not see who is being followed the most? Good luck unseating Merlin Mann of 43folders fame.
There is a Twitter Fan Wiki page of all the Twitter apps and mashups. Its actually quite mesmerizing just how many there are. I like the number of mobile, Windows and Mac (the three platforms i use Twitter on) as well as multiplatform. The more i use Adobe AIR apps the more i like them. However, i am not a fan of snitter (notice no link). It crashes waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much on my MacBook Pro to be useful. I think i will give twhirl a 9wait for it…) whirl. It can manage multiple Twitter accounts (yes i have more than one) and uses AIR. Let’s hope its more stable (shouldn’t be difficult to accomplish) than snitter.
Okay thats enough about Twitter from me. I have to get back to watching Twitterverse - ERR - i mean working. :p
